We are always worrying about what others think of us so much that we let their judgments govern our lives and actions. We allow them to determine our success over our own drive and determination. We think we need to appease other people to arrive at our desired destinations more than we realize we need to feed our own mindset with positive thoughts of our own success, especially by first knowing how we envision happiness for ourselves and how badly we truly want it to be our reality.

While we are constantly learning what to give our time to and who to reciprocate attention to, we still have to be mindful of our audience, regardless of any commonalities and differences. Our traumas can be what brings two people together closely or able to chuckle with the same sense of humor, but it can also be the cause of a division that raises tension through simple misunderstandings often. We have to be able to step out of our own mind space for a second to find the respect and regulation in understanding how other people view the world differently through their eyes and experiences.

The next time you feel the need to apologize, stop for a moment to think about why you feel the need to be sorry. Is it offensive what you are doing to warrant an apology? Are you intentions good-hearted and meant to help others? Never apologize for who you are and always be willing to change by staying open to the fact you might be wrong. Be willing to recognize when you are in a stagnant state of ignorance and embrace the ability to grow through changing yourself for the better by simply yet genuinely listening to others educationally. Accept your criticisms with thoughtful recalibrations; don't change because they said to, change because you believe it is the right path for your success. You will earn the respect you deserve from the people who appreciate the same set of values you are working on within yourself naturally.
