Have you ever realized you used to have certain good habits that somehow you've fallen out of or you've taken on a new comfort that isn't serving you in the long run? You adjust to a different lifestyle based on your career, friends, or interests, and sometimes those changes go against what you originally anticipated. As your circumstances change, you start to make excuses why not to do something you used to execute on with no questions asked. You begin trading your time for money and money for your time. You have to start questioning the order of your priorities and recognizing which of your values matter most that deserve your time more than your money.

When we decide to commit to something, we must see them through for the sake of others around us that will benefit from its completion. We have to be the one to rearrange our priorities to ensure the task gets done and our word remains honest and character upstanding. Even when the task is cumbersome and exhausting, so must our actions be. We have others that rely on us to uphold our words with actions that match, beginning with how we manage our time.

Although self-care can be glamorized into unnecessary excess, it also includes the basics of human needs, such as doctor appointments and special testing that is recommended based on your particular demographics. The longer you put a visit off, the worse the pain can get, the more demanding the treatment will be when you finally give it your attention.

You have to make the right choices for yourself that will improve your life and time while you are here with people who love you. Winning in life doesn't mean gambling until you win the Powerball, the lottery to win is in the satisfaction of how you live your life every day. Are you constantly applying yourself when you are called to, or are you always looking for an excuse to get out of something? Don't be the one to create a circle of letdown based on your decisions to be lazy and undisciplined or willing to give up too easily because "it's too hard". It's your compounding choices that will create the future you desire.

Sometimes, you just need to take a moment to re-evaluate your situation with gratitude and count the blessings you do have. What may be your problem would be a miracle for someone else less fortunate today.
